Healthy Monday Reset. What a great concept! In a collaboration of the universities at Columbia, Syracuse, and Johns Hopkins a brilliant concept has emerged of how to reach the goals we make at the New Year to improve our health. It is reported that only 25% of us keep our New Year’s health resolutions all year long (higher than I would have guessed). 20% of us go less than 2 weeks.
The concept is that each Monday we re-examine and reset our goals. This gives us 52 opportunities to improve our health rather than just one. If our goal is to eat more fruits and vegetables and it is not happening, each week we can examine what succeeded and what caused failure. Perhaps we need to plan meals better, or go to the store on the way home. It allows us room to fail without failing completely.
So whether it is weight loss, stopping smoking, eating better. Give the Healthy Monday Reset a try and let’s improve our health!!!
